Several years ago I read the book “Endless Referrals” by Bob Burg. As I read it, I thought “I love this man” 🙂 I like his ideas, I like his attitude, and I’d like to meet him someday. As I do when I read an author I like, I read more of his books; “Winning Without Intimidation” and “The Go Giver”. A couple of years ago, a friend of mine who lives in Idaho, called me and invited me to attend an event in Florida in January (2011). I told her Yes and then asked who was putting it on. I just liked the idea of going to Florida in January! She said Bob Burg. “Bob Burg!” I said, “I love Bob Burg! Yes, I will definitely go.”
My friend didn’t have many details such as when the event took place, where it was, etc. so I went onto Bob’s website to get more details. It was there that I discovered that he had a coaching program although at the time it was called Bob Burg Consultants program. I signed up to get more information. One of his associates called me to give me more information. I knew this was what I wanted to do. I have been a psychotherapist for more than 20 years and was looking to move into coaching as a supplement to what I had been doing. My way of thinking fit into the Go Giver philosophy so well.
